DIY: Damage Repairing Hair Mask

DIY Damage Repairing Hair Mask is the perfect way to restore moisture, repair summer exposed hair without the extra cost of special hair care products or unneeded chemicals.

Ingredients:

  • One egg
  • 1 cup of milk (for shoulder length hair use 1/2 cup)
  • A squeeze of lemon
  • Two tablespoons of olive oil

Directions: Separate the egg whites and egg yolk. Beat the separated egg yolks in a clean barter. Add 1 cup of milk and two table spoons of olive oil to the egg mixture and mix well. Squeeze the lemon into the mixture.

Massage the mixture into scalp, working from the roots to the hair ends, and let it sit for 15 minutes. Cover with a disposable plastic shower cap to keep it from dripping.

Rinse well with lukewarm water and shampoo to make a final cleanse of your hair.

Directions: Cut a lemon in halves. Squeeze all the lemon juice out of one half and place in a small bowl. Thai Lettuce Wraps with Cilantro

Lettuce wraps are easy to make, healthy, and so fun to eat!

1. Thai Lettuce Wraps with Cilantro

Ingredients

  • 1 pound lean ground round
  • 1/2 cup finely chopped fresh mint leaves
  • 1/3 cup finely chopped fresh cilantro
  • 1/2 red onion, finely chopped 1 teaspoon crushed red pepper
  • 3 tablespoons fresh lime juice
  • 2 tablespoons Asian fish sauce
  • 1 head cabbage or romaine lettuce, leaves separated
  • Lime wedges (optional)

Directions: Sauté beef in a large skillet over medium-high heat 5 to 10 minutes or until meat crumbles and is no longer pink; drain. Add mint, cilantro and next 4 ingredients to beef and stir until heated. Spoon mixture in center of cabbage or lettuce leaves, and roll up. Serve with additional lime wedges, if desired. Source
